Tea Ceremony with Tea Tom - Sunday April 13th 1:00PM - 3:00PM
Life can get pretty busy sometimes, which is why we want to encourage slowing down and being present. Tea ceremonies are a way to do exactly that. By unplugging for a few hours, we can reconnect with the deeper meaning of life, letting go of the daily stress and distraction we tend to carry around
Tom's tea journey began in childhood, rooted in cherished moments with family. A transformative tea ceremony ten years ago reignited his passion for tea as a path to mindfulness and connection. Since 2015, Tom has hosted tea ceremonies, from intimate gatherings to large festival events, and he is dedicated to creating sacred spaces for others to experience the essence of tea. Tom's work emphasizes sustainability, honouring "living teas" grown without chemicals and celebrating the deep traditions of tea culture.
The workshop features a silent tea ceremony lasting approximately 40 minutes, followed by an optional sharing session. Participants will enjoy "living teas" brewed with spring water and served in antique vessels, accompanied by soft ambient music and handmade Aloeswood incense (optional). The experience invites participants to connect with nature, mindfulness, and community in a shared moment of tranquility.
